Amsterdamse Studenten Alpen Club » Sign-up form Retro weekend 2 – 11-12 April
Because the insurance situation, particularly in Belgium, is difficult I will explain it here once again.
To climb in Belgium you need to be a member of a national climbing association (DAV, CAF, KBF, etc.) If you live in the Netherlands your national climbing association will be the NKBV. For NKBV members you will also need a climbing card. You can purchase this card from your NKBV account for 15-20 euros depending on your age.
The NKBV also provides a travel insurance with great coverage for rock climbing and mountaineering in general. This costs 41,95 per calendar year. It is also allowed to use a different insurer, but you have to make sure the insurance company covers climbing and other related activities, including rescue. If your really can’t figure this out you can contact us.
A climbing card from the NKBV & insurance are mandatory for this (and every other) weekend. Because this is a retro weekend and possibly the first time you will be climbing outside, we can order one-time climbing cards and insurance from the NKBV for everyone that needs them.
However for the normal weekends after the retro weekend, we will not arrange your climbing card and insurance so if you’re planning to go on more weekends this year, just get a climbing card & insurance yourself!
