This spring we will be going to the best area for sports climbing in Belgium! FREYRRR. With the projectcie we would like to introduce you to the amazing rocks that are to be found within Freyr. Our goal is to disprove your prejudice and show you the gems that can be found. There will be two weekends close to each other and it’s best to go to both! This way you can better get used to the rock and you can really get to the nitty-gritty of your route(s)!

During this weekend we will have group warm-ups and cooling downs and the weekend is mostly focussed on climbing hard routes on rock. We will try to teach you the tips and tricks of projecting. Both rope techniques and climbing techniques will pass the revue and the instructors will be there to help put up quickdraws and maybe even a toprope here and there. However, the idea is that people will be mostly lead climbing since that is the real deal. We will be there talking about the differences between rock and plastic, how we deal with fears while climbing and give technical tips on your climbing!

Hopefully we will return with our ego’s bruised but not broken, many lead falls in our memory and the satisfying feeling of mastering a tiny bit of some rock, somewhere.

During this weekend it will not be possible to get lessons or take exams on OVS techniques.
Minimum requirements: IV and 6b on plastic (toprope)(No need to concistently climb 6a, just once as a project is fine :))
